Important Note on Brake Controller Requirements:

‍Up to 2000kg GVM: A brake controller is optional. However, the trailer's electric brakes will not operate without a compatible brake controller fitted.

From 2000kg GVM: A brake controller is required by NZ regulations for safe and legal towing. Some vehicles (e.g. current-generation VW Amarok and Ford Ranger on higher trims like Wildtrak and above) come factory-equipped with an integrated brake controller, which can be used with your SHIFTR trailer.
